Basics Blowing Insulation

The blowing insulation method is used to install thermal insulation in buildings. Other application possibilities of insulation blowing machines are fire protection, acoustic noise protection and effect applications in the movie industry.
Blowing insulation uses loose materials instead of stable materials. They form automatically in the building element and don't have to be fitted. The thermal insulations are gap-free and the processing speed is higher for big insulation thicknesses compared with the installation of stable material.

Classification of Insulation Materials

Stable and loose thermal insulation materials
Stable Loose
  • Boards
  • Mats
  • Composite system
  • Foams
  • Blowing insulation products
  • Bulk material
  • Stuffing bulks

Processing Speed

The diagram shows the advantages of blowing insulation. Here work and preparation terms according to REFA methods were simulated. With higher insulation thicknesses the processing speed rises signifincantly. Also the preparation time is to high for lower insulation thicknesses.
Today insulation thicknesses are increased. There is an economical advantage when big insulation volumes need to be installed.
