Thickness gauge and checking plate to determine the installation thickness when undertaking open-inflation. Consists of checking plate and checking rod.
Measuring instructions:
- Flatten out all uneven areas
- Push checking rod through checking plate, to get the maximum distance between checking plate and tip of checking rod
- Push checking rod with checking plate through all the way to the base of the layer of insulation material
- Carefully place the checking plate on the layer of insulation material
- Allow the weight of the checking plate to bare down on the insulation material
- Measure the length of the checking rod from its tip to the checking plate
- Repeat the check in several places on the insulation material (for example ten times) and then calculate the average.
