TURBOFANT M03

Overview

The Turbofant is one of the most powerful blow-in maschines for the processing of loose insulation material, such as cellulose fibre, wood fibre, mineral wool and other insulation materials approved by the building authorities. The machine is suited for use as a mobile unit which is moved between building sites and as a machine which remains stationary on one site. The high feed volume which the machine handles, guarantees the fast and cost-effective processing of insulation material. With the integrated, manual regulator of the material and air volumes the machine can be adapted to handle a variety of demands. Horisontal material supply makes it easy to fill the machine and makes it especially suited to stack filling, or the emptying of big bundles. The loosening of the insulation material is done with three chaff spindles, which attain the optimal degree of loosening for a variety of insulation materials. A five-stepped turbine serves as air generator. The pressure is set at the blower unit of the maschine with weight-discs.

 

Technical information

Material supply

With the Turbofant MO3 the material supply is handled in a completely new way. The insulation material is fed into the machine horisontally. In doing so, the bundle is opened on one of the added tables of the machine and then pushed into the machine. There the insulation material is taken away by a conveyor belt, which feeds the insulation material to the agitator.

The horisontal filling makes the process less labour intensive, since the insulation material must only be lifted to a height of 80 cm. In addition, the conveyor belt ensures the secure delivery of the bundles of insulation material to the chaff machine.

 

Agitator

The agitator of the Turbofant M03 consists of 3 spindles for loosening the insulation material. These spindles lie horisontally. They are placed in a way which ensures the optimal loosening of insulation material. The form and position of the spindles for loosening have been carefully selected to ensure the hassle-free processing with the machine of almost all types of insulation material, from cellulose and wood fibres to mineral wool.

Air generator

The Turbofant is fitted with a turbine which generates the required quantities of air and pressure for an optimal blow-in action. Air fed in by the blower is sucked through a closed filter, which is made out of solid sheet metal for effective protection against damage. The air is filtered through a cellulose filter cartridge which holds back even the finest dust particles and so protects the turbine against dirty air.

Control

Many important settings can be selected with the cable and radio remote control from where the operator is busy with the blow-in operation. This feature also allows for flexible and quick adjustments in cases where tasks change continuously.

The following functions can be dialled:

- Air and material ON (delayed)

- Material OUT (toggle function, re-densification, blowing clean the hose)
- Adjusting the air performance in 10 steps
- Adjusting the material dosage in 10 steps

In addition, valuable extra functions are available:

- automatic shut-off
- dynamic pressure control
- dynamic material control

Adjustment options for air and material

The Turbofant offers optimal adjustment possibilities for regulating the volume of material or air, as well as air pressure. With the standard model air and material volumes are adjusted manually on the machine. However, both variables could also be automatised and are then adjustable by remote control in 10 steps!

The air volume is adjusted with a choke valve. By turning the valve (or by adjusting it remotely, if so wished) the air volume can be adjusted for great distances. In this way even small cavities with fragile planking can be mastered with the Turbofant.

The air pressure is adjusted with the so-called outblow unit. Here we have to do with a control unit with a completely mechanical functioning and which follows the law of physics, namely Pressure = power x surface area. The required pressure can be adjusted on the outblow unit with the supplied weight-discs, meaning the power is changed and with that the pressure. Mechanical pressure regulating has many advantages. For instance, there is no wear and tear, the unit is practically undestructible and the outblow pressure can be perfectly reproduced.

The material volume is adjusted with a airlock slide gate. This is done with a crank lever (or per remote control, if so wished) and in this way screens the free surface area over the airlock. A dial fitted to the machine enables the operator to set the machine exactly on the required material flow.

 

Options

Supply desk

A practical supply mechanism for the depositing of insulation material bundles, the opening of and feeding onto the conveyor belt of the machine. The feet of the desk are height-adjustable.

 

 

Electric material feeder

With the Turbofant M03 it is possible to automatise the adjustment of the material volume. When that is done, the material feeder is moved with a traction motor. The motor is activated by the remote control included in the delivery and which can be adjusted in 10 steps.

Electric air feeder

The air volume of the machine can also be automatised. For that, the air control valve is fitted with a traction motor. Then the air volume can also be adjusted in 10 steps with the remote control included in the delivery.

Radio remote control FFB2000

With the radio remote control FFB2000 the machine can be operated in either radio or cable mode. The operation is exactly the same for both modes. The following functions can be selected:

- ON / OFF
- Air performance in 10 stages
- Material volume in 10 stages
- Dynamic pressure control
- Dynamic material control
- Automatic shut-down

When the battery is completely charged, the machine can be operated for more than 20 hours. The extent to which the battery is charged, can be seen on the display. Alternatively, the same radio remote control can be connected to the machine with the cable and used in cable control mode.

 

With a booster/extractor unit for a variety of applications. Serves to increase the power of blow-in machines, as a stand-alone extractor unit or as an extractor unit used in combination with X-Floc machines. Could also be combined with machines of other manufacturers. (Ask about types). Ideal in combination with X-Floc machines and their control units.

Master/slave control mechanism enables the control of the booster/extractor unit (slave) from the blow-in machine (master).
